Many sites hand over a file the instant someone clicks, and the visitor gets nothing else. This plugin adds a page between the click and the file. Because it is a regular WordPress page, you can place ads, promotional banners, instructional videos or social media links there. Visitors get useful information while the download prepares, and you get space to say something to them.

The download starts automatically after a short delay. A shortcode can also show a manual download link on the page for anyone who needs it, and its output can be changed with an overridable template file. For locked downloads, the plugin reports the email addresses collected and lets you export them in bulk. It is built for WordPress, and it requires both Download Monitor Lite and PRO.
