BuddyPress Moderation Tools

Open communities attract spam, trolls and posts that break the rules. BuddyPress Moderation Tools gives your members a way to report problems and gives you a clear place to deal with them. Reports can cover BuddyPress users, activities, groups and comments, as well as WordPress posts and bbPress forum topics. Admins then review each item in a moderation queue and act on it with one click, such as hiding, deleting or restoring it.

The plugin also lets you set rules ahead of time. You can hold new activities and comments for approval, hide content once it reaches a report threshold, and restrict users who collect too many reports. Email notifications keep admins and users informed, and a log records who made each decision and when. It suits community owners who want moderation to be organized and open to review.

Features

• Report abuse across content types: Members and visitors can report abusive BuddyPress users, activities, groups and comments, plus WordPress posts and bbPress forum topics, so problems can be flagged wherever they appear.
• Extensible reportable types: Support for additional content types can be added, so the reporting system can be adapted as your community grows and new kinds of content appear.
• Moderation queue with quick actions: An admin panel lets you view, filter and act on reported items. One-click actions include hiding, deleting, restoring and reviewing reports.
• Email notifications: Configurable emails go to admins and users for reported content, hidden posts, restored content and deletions, so everyone involved knows what happened.
• Historic moderation logs: Every moderation decision is recorded, including who took action and when. The log supports transparency and gives you a record to review later.
• Categories and customizable forms: Sort reports into categories and shape the report form. Choose which fields are visible or required, and control who sees the report button and who can submit reports.
• User restrictions at thresholds: Users who reach an abuse threshold can be hidden or restricted. You can limit posting and messaging, and optionally block login, with email alerts to users and admins.
• Activity, comment and group controls: Hold new activities and comments for approval, hide posts or replies based on community reports, and hide groups over the threshold while notifying site and group admins.
