BuddyPress Editable Activity

On a BuddyPress community, a typo or a missing detail in an activity post often stays there for good. BuddyPress Editable Activity gives members a way to fix their own updates and comments right where they posted them, without visiting a backend screen or asking an admin for help.

Editing happens in a modal popup dialog, which behaves the same way across BuddyPress themes and works on phones and tablets. Administrators set the editing permissions and the time limit, and they can edit any activity or comment from the front end. The plugin can be network-activated on multisite or used as a standalone plugin.

Features

• Front-end editing for members: Users can edit their own activity posts and comments directly from the front end, so corrections and added details do not need any backend access.
• Admin editing of any content: Site administrators can edit any activity or comment across the platform from the front end, which keeps moderation simple.
• Editing permissions and time limits: Admins control who can edit and set how long users have to make changes. Entering zero removes the limit, so edits stay open indefinitely.
• Visual WYSIWYG-style editing: Members see their changes as they make them, so they can adjust their posts without any technical knowledge.
• Modal popup editing dialog: Editing opens in a clean modal dialog that works consistently across BuddyPress themes and avoids the limits of inline editing.
• Responsive, mobile-friendly form: The editing interface is fully responsive and includes a mobile-friendly popup form, so members can update content on any device.
• BuddyPress theme compatibility: The plugin works with BuddyPress themes and supports BuddyBoss and BP Nouveau, along with a wide range of BuddyPress releases.
• Multisite and standalone use: On WordPress multisite installs, the plugin can be network-activated. It can also be activated as a standalone plugin on a single site.

Best for

• BuddyPress community sites where members post activity updates
• Site admins who want to set editing time limits
• Multisite networks running BuddyPress, BuddyBoss or BP Nouveau
