Overview
Forms that need math often mean hand-checked totals or custom code. GravityMath handles the four basic operations inside Gravity Forms, so a price total, a quiz score or another calculated value can be produced from the data people enter. A formula builder creates these calculations without coding, which cuts down on manual input errors.
The plugin works with a wide range of Gravity Forms fields, so you can build calculations from the data your form already collects. Calculations update in real time, giving people instant feedback as they fill out a form. It also includes filtering options and a Math Summary that handles Date, Time, Checkbox and Name fields, plus Views that merge forms. That makes it a fit for order forms, assessments and custom data processing.
Features
- Four basic math operations: Add, subtract, multiply and divide values from your form data, which covers most calculation needs in order forms, quizzes and other interactive forms.
- Formula builder without coding: Create complex formulas through a simple interface. No coding skills are needed, so calculations can be set up quickly.
- Real-time calculations: Results update as people fill out the form, so they get instant feedback on totals, scores or other calculated values.
- Automatic pricing and totals: Order forms can calculate prices and totals automatically, which improves accuracy and removes the need to total things by hand.
- Quiz scoring: Quizzes and assessments can tally scores and results automatically from the answers people submit.
- Wide Gravity Forms field support: Works with a range of Gravity Forms fields, giving you flexibility in how you use and combine the data your forms collect.
- Filters for calculations: Filter which entries feed a calculation, including filters on Date, Time, Checkbox and Name fields, and comparisons such as less than and greater than.
- Math Summary and merged forms: A Math Summary shows calculation results, and calculations can work with Views that merge forms, including the view and visible scopes.
Best for
- Gravity Forms users building order forms with automatic totals
- Site owners creating quizzes and scored assessments
- Builders who want formulas without writing code
Changelog
Version 2.12.3 — 8 October 2026
- Fixed Using scope="view" with a View that joins forms using the Multiple Forms extension caused a fatal error.
- Fixed Filters with a form ID before the field (for example, filter_4:date_created) were ignored, so results included entries the filter should have excluded (in the visible scope, these filters excluded every entry instead).
- Fixed Filters using lt or gt compared numbers as text, so 5 counted as greater than 10.
- Fixed Issues with Date and Time field filters: With no date format saved, a value such as 2026-09-15 was read as 2026-15-09; Partial values such as 2026 matched no entries; Dates without leading zeros, such as 2026-09-05, were compared incorrectly; Filters on Time fields, or on Date fields displayed as drop downs or text boxes, matched no entries.
- Fixed Issues with filters on Checkbox, Name, and other multi-input fields without an input ID: Filters using isnot or notcontains included entries that had the value checked; The Math Summary showed no results (for example, with filter_3=Red&op_3=contains).
- Fixed Issues in the visible scope: Filters using lt, gt, or notcontains excluded every entry; The debug report's "no entries" warnings showed the page title instead of naming the filter or View.
- Fixed Issues on Views that merge forms with a union: Filters using is or contains on a Checkbox field left out the merged form's entries; scope="view" and scope="visible" used the wrong fields from the merged form; The Math Summary left out the merged form's entries.
