Overview

Normally a Gravity Forms form shuts once it reaches its entry limit or passes its scheduled end, and later visitors are simply turned away. This add-on changes that behavior. The form stays open, and every extra submission goes into an overflow list, so the interest that arrives when demand is highest is still recorded.

Overflow entries stay apart from the ones that made the original cut, which suits anything with limited capacity, such as events, bookings, classes and limited-run registrations. You can record each person's place in the queue, then promote entries by hand, in bulk or automatically when space frees up. A hard cut-off becomes a waitlist you can manage.

Features

  • Collect past the entry limit: Keep accepting submissions after a form reaches its configured entry limit, so the form stays available to visitors instead of closing for everyone.
  • Collect after the schedule ends: A scheduled form can continue capturing submissions once its end date has passed, so latecomers are not turned away at the door.
  • Separate overflow list: Extra submissions are stored apart from the entries within the original limit, so the two groups are never confused when you review them.
  • Ordered waitlist positions: Optionally record where each entry sits in the queue, so the order in which people joined is preserved and easy to follow.
  • Manual promotion: When you know a place has opened up, you can pick a single waiting entry and shift it from the overflow list into the main list.
  • Bulk promotion: Promote a group of waiting entries together when several places become available at the same time, instead of handling them one by one.
  • Automatic promotion: Entries can move up on their own as capacity frees up, so nobody has to keep watching the list for openings.
  • Built on existing restrictions: It extends the Entry Limit and Schedule settings you already use in Gravity Forms rather than replacing them with a separate system.

Best for

  • Event registration forms with limited seats
  • Booking and class sign-up pages with capped capacity
  • Site owners who want a managed waitlist in Gravity Forms
