Overview
Many visitors start a form and never finish it. Without a record of what they entered, that interest is gone. Gravity Forms Partial Entries addresses this by saving the data as it is typed, much like abandoned cart tracking in an online store. You keep the details of people who showed interest but stopped partway.
The saved entries appear in your WordPress admin area, where you can view them and decide how to follow up. You can set conditions for when an entry is saved, such as only when an email address has been provided. It also helps you see which forms or fields tend to lead to abandonment, so you can adjust them.
Features
- Real-time data capture: Form data is saved as users enter it, so the information is kept even if the visitor leaves the form before completing and submitting it.
- Manage entries in WordPress: View and manage all partial entries directly from your WordPress admin area, which keeps follow-up work in the same place as the rest of your forms.
- Conditional saving rules: Set rules for when a partial entry is saved, for example only when an email address is provided, so the stored data stays relevant and usable.
- Drop-off analysis: Identify which forms or specific fields cause people to abandon their submissions, then use that information to adjust your forms for better completion.
- Lead follow-up: Partial entries let you reconnect with prospects who showed interest but did not finish, turning an abandoned form into a chance to continue the conversation.
- Built for Gravity Forms: This is an official add-on made by the creators of Gravity Forms, designed to work with your existing Gravity Forms setup.
- Simple form settings toggle: Partial entries are enabled per form through a toggle switch in the form settings, so turning the feature on requires no complex configuration.
- Works with store abandonment tactics: It can sit alongside platforms such as WooCommerce and Shopify, complementing abandoned cart strategies you already use.
