Envira Gallery - Importer Addon

Switching gallery plugins usually means rebuilding every gallery by hand, re-adding images, retyping captions and hunting down shortcodes in old posts. This addon removes most of that work. It finds the galleries you already have in FooGallery or Modula Gallery and imports them into Envira Gallery, so the content you built carries over.

The import keeps your image order and captions, and it matches the layout style of each original gallery as closely as it can. Once the galleries are in, the addon replaces the old gallery shortcodes across your site with Envira Gallery versions, so you do not edit posts one at a time. Imported galleries then work with Envira features such as lightboxes, albums and responsive layouts.

Features

• Imports from two gallery plugins: Moves galleries created in FooGallery or Modula Gallery into Envira Gallery, so you can change plugins without rebuilding each gallery from scratch.
• Automatic gallery detection: The addon finds the existing galleries on your site and imports them, so you do not need to list or select each one by hand.
• Image order preserved: Images appear in the same sequence they had in the original gallery, so your arrangement stays intact after the move.
• Captions kept intact: Captions travel with each image during the import, along with image alt text, so your descriptions stay in place.
• Layout style matching: The import matches the layout style of your previous gallery in Envira Gallery, so the galleries keep a familiar look on your pages.
• Site-wide shortcode replacement: Old gallery shortcodes across your site are replaced with Envira Gallery equivalents, which removes the need to edit each post manually.
• Works with Envira features: Imported galleries are compatible with Envira Gallery features such as lightboxes, albums and responsive layouts.
• Simple for any skill level: The migration is designed with a straightforward setup and clear instructions, so users without technical experience can complete it in minutes.
