Password Protected Categories

Many sites have content that only some visitors should see: a client area, a private blog, an invite-only event or a set of protected product pages. Setting up individual accounts for every visitor can be a lot of work. This plugin works at the category level instead, so one setting covers a category, its sub-categories and all the posts inside it.

You choose how people get in. Add one or more passwords to a category, or have it unlock automatically for particular logged-in users or user roles. It also works with categories linked to custom post types, such as products, events and portfolios. Protected categories and their posts are set to no-index, which keeps them out of search results.
