Ultimate Member - Groups

Community sites often need a place where members can gather around a topic instead of sharing one general feed. Ultimate Member – Groups adds that layer. Users start groups based on interests, topics or activities, and other members can join them and post content within each group.

The extension plugs into Ultimate Member, so it works with the user profiles and shortcodes you already have. Group creators choose privacy settings, and administrators keep control over members, posts and invitations. It suits niche forums, educational platforms and membership sites that want organized, moderated sub-communities.

Features

• User-created groups: Members can create their own groups built around shared interests, topics or activities, and other users can join existing groups to share content and connect.
• Private, hidden or public groups: Group creators set privacy to private, hidden or public, which controls who can view a group and who can join it.
• Posting inside groups: Members can post content within a group, so discussions and collaboration happen in the place where the conversation belongs.
• Admin moderation controls: Administrators can manage group members, posts and activities, which helps keep each community safe and respectful.
• Post review and approval: Moderation options let posts be reviewed and approved before they become public inside a group, giving you a check on content quality.
• Flexible invitation permissions: Decide whether group admins, moderators or all members are allowed to invite newcomers, so you can manage how each group grows.
• Categories, tags and images: Categories and tags sort groups into defined topics, and group images give each group a recognizable profile that is easier to find.
• Profile and shortcode visibility: Groups appear in user profiles, and a shortcode places them on any page, which makes navigating to groups simple for members.
