Overview
Events sell out, and people cancel. Without a waitlist, organizers lose track of the interest that comes after the last ticket is gone. MEC Waiting List gives sold-out events a dedicated form where visitors can sign up in case seats are released. It also shows you how much demand an event has beyond its capacity.
The plugin handles the queue for you. When a cancellation frees a spot, people on the waiting list move to the main attendee list in order of their reservation ranking. Verification and confirmation emails keep attendees informed, and you manage waiting list entries with the same kind of controls you use for regular bookings. It suits small workshops and large conferences alike.
Features
- Dedicated waiting list form: Build a customized waiting list form with the form builder and attach it to any event, so people have a clear way to reserve a place when tickets run out.
- Verification of reservations: Verification statuses are managed automatically, which helps confirm that waiting list reservations are real without checking each one by hand.
- Dedicated email templates: Send emails for verifying and confirming reservations, with placeholders for personalizing each message so attendees know where they stand.
- Reservation limit control: Set a cap on how many reservations the waiting list accepts, which keeps the queue balanced and helps prevent overbooking.
- Automatic spot filling: When a cancellation happens, available spots are filled from the waiting list in order of reservation ranking, with no manual transfer needed.
- Offer and claim window: A freed spot creates a time-limited offer with a claim link. Seats that go unclaimed are passed on to the next person in the queue.
- Queue dashboard: A dashboard presents KPI cards, outcome charts, events under the most demand and recent activity, so you can see how your waiting lists are performing.
- Front-end waiting list page: Users get a My Waiting List area on the front end where they can view and manage their own waiting entries.
