Overview

Sites that sell tickets and merchandise often end up with two separate purchase flows. This add-on removes that split. Event tickets from Modern Events Calendar go into the WooCommerce cart next to regular products, so a customer pays once for everything. Ticket names and event dates appear in the cart and in order summaries, which makes reservations easy to check and track.

Because payments run through WooCommerce, the gateways your store already supports are available for ticket purchases, including Google Wallet, Bitcoin and Square. Cart handling covers full and partial payments, with MEC taxes and fees shown as separate lines. It suits event organizers who already use WooCommerce, and online shops that want to add ticketing without a second checkout.

Features

  • One cart for tickets and products: Customers can add event tickets and other WooCommerce products to a single cart and finish with one checkout, which saves them repeated payments and keeps order management simpler for you.
  • Reservation details in the cart: Ticket names and event dates show up in carts and orders, so customers and store owners can see exactly what has been reserved without opening separate booking records.
  • Add to Cart for MEC payments: The Add to Cart option can be enabled on your Modern Events Calendar payment methods, connecting the booking step to the WooCommerce cart.
  • WooCommerce payment gateway support: Ticket orders can be paid with the gateways WooCommerce supports, including Google Wallet, Bitcoin and Square, giving customers the same payment choices they see elsewhere in your shop.
  • Seat reservation during checkout: Ticket capacity is held while customers move through the cart and checkout, so people buying at the same time cannot overbook the last available seats.
  • Clear tax and fee breakdown: The cart shows MEC taxes and fees as separate line items for full and partial payments, and tax rows are labeled as included in the price or added to the total.
  • Bookings for offline payments: For Invoice or offline payment orders, a booking is created as soon as the order is placed on hold, so the reservation is recorded right away.
  • Attendee details on PDF invoices: Attendee name and email are added to the booking details in PDF invoices, which keeps the paperwork clear for each ticket holder.

Best for

  • Event organizers already selling through WooCommerce
  • Online shops adding event tickets to their catalog
  • Sites running Modern Events Calendar that want one checkout
