Envira Gallery - Fullscreen Addon

A standard lightbox can feel small on a large monitor, a 4K display or a retina screen. This addon gives visitors a way to expand your photos and videos to fill the entire screen, which removes distractions and makes fine detail easier to see. It suits photographers, videographers and anyone who wants their visual work shown at its best.

Setup happens inside the gallery itself. You switch fullscreen on from the gallery's Config tab, and a fullscreen icon then appears in the lightbox toolbar. Visitors click it to enter fullscreen, and closing the lightbox ends fullscreen mode too. If a visitor's browser lacks fullscreen support, the icon is disabled automatically.

Features

• Native browser fullscreen: Uses the browser's built-in fullscreen API, so galleries expand to fill the screen without relying on extra custom code.
• Simple on and off setting: Enable or disable fullscreen from the gallery's Config tab, so you can decide gallery by gallery where it appears.
• Fullscreen icon in the toolbar: A fullscreen toggle button sits directly in the Envira Gallery lightbox toolbar, giving visitors an obvious way to switch modes.
• Automatic browser fallback: If a visitor's browser does not support fullscreen mode, the fullscreen icon is disabled automatically, so nobody sees a button that fails.
• Photos and videos fill the screen: Both photos and videos expand to fill the whole display, giving visitors an immersive view of your gallery content.
• Clean exit from fullscreen: Closing the gallery lightbox also closes fullscreen mode, returning the visitor to the webpage in one step.
• Suited to high-resolution screens: Makes use of large monitors, 4K displays and retina screens, so image clarity and detail have more room to show.
• Works across screen sizes: Responsive and mobile-friendly, so the fullscreen gallery experience stays consistent on different devices and display sizes.
