Yoast Video SEO Premium

Embedding a video on a page does not tell search engines much about it. Yoast Video SEO Premium handles the technical side for you. It adds VideoObject structured data to your videos so Google can read them and display them in video search results, including rich snippets. It also builds a dedicated video sitemap and folds it into your existing XML sitemap, which makes your video content easier for search engines to discover.

The plugin also looks after how videos appear to visitors. Videos resize to fit desktop, tablet and smartphone screens, and OpenGraph tags help previews display correctly when a page is shared on Facebook, Slack and other social networks. You can upload a custom thumbnail and preview it before publishing. It suits sites that already use Yoast SEO and publish video from YouTube, Vimeo or similar platforms. Access to the Yoast SEO Academy is included for further learning.

Features

• Automatic video schema markup: Adds VideoObject structured data to your videos so Google can index them accurately and show them in rich search results and enhanced snippets.
• Video XML sitemaps: Creates a dedicated video sitemap automatically and integrates it into your existing XML sitemap, so search engines can find all of your video content.
• Asynchronous video delivery: Loads video content with asynchronous JavaScript, which is meant to reduce the effect of embedded videos on how quickly your pages load.
• Responsive video sizing: Videos display properly on desktop, tablet and smartphone screens without manual coding or device testing on your part.
• Social sharing previews: Adds OpenGraph tags so video previews appear correctly when pages are shared on platforms such as Facebook, Slack and other social networks.
• Custom video thumbnails: Upload your own thumbnail for a video and preview it before you publish, so your video listing looks the way you want in search results.
• YouTube and Vimeo support: Works with embedded videos hosted on popular platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo, so you can optimize them wherever they are hosted.
• Yoast SEO Academy access: Includes full access to the Yoast SEO Academy, which offers SEO knowledge and training to help you improve your site further.
