Overview
News sites need to meet technical requirements before Google News can pick up their stories. Yoast News SEO Premium handles much of that work in the background. It builds a News Sitemap for you and adds NewsArticle schema.org markup to your posts, so editors can spend their time writing and publishing instead of managing backend SEO details.
The plugin works alongside the free and Premium versions of Yoast SEO. You decide which articles or categories appear in the News Sitemap, which keeps editorial control in your hands. It also includes stock ticker references for financial publishers and access to the Yoast SEO Academy, which teaches SEO from beginner to advanced levels.
