wpForo Tenor

Text-only replies can make a busy forum feel flat, and members often reach for GIFs to show humor or a reaction. wpForo Tenor connects your wpForo community to the Tenor GIF library, so members can find and add animated GIFs right where they write instead of hunting for them elsewhere.

A GIF button sits at the bottom right of the topic, post and private message editors. It opens a popup with a search field that surfaces relevant and trending GIFs. Members can preview a choice live in their post before publishing. Settings live in a Tenor tab in the wpForo Dashboard, and the layout keeps the clean look of wpForo on desktop and mobile.

Features

• Tenor GIF library access: Members can search and embed animated GIFs from the Tenor API, giving forum conversations a way to express emotion, humor and reactions with more than text.
• Dedicated GIF button: A [GIF] button appears at the bottom right of the topic, post and private message editors, so inserting a GIF takes one click.
• Search popup window: An intuitive popup lets members look for relevant and trending GIFs without leaving the editor they are writing in.
• Live preview before posting: Users can preview a selected GIF live in their post before publishing, which helps them confirm it fits the context of the conversation.
• Works in private messages: GIF support covers private messages as well as public topics and replies, so members can use the same button in direct conversations.
• Settings in the wpForo Dashboard: Configuration happens from a dedicated Tenor tab in the wpForo Dashboard, and the addon installs like any other WordPress addon.
• Responsive interface: The addon keeps wpForo's clean, modern look and adds its multimedia options on both desktop and mobile devices.
• Current PHP compatibility: The addon is maintained to work with recent PHP releases and with current wpForo releases, which helps it keep running as your site stack changes.
