wpForo Giphy

Forum conversations can feel flat when everything is plain text. wpForo Giphy gives members a quick way to react, joke or add emphasis with an animated GIF, without leaving the forum to hunt for an image elsewhere. The plugin uses the Giphy API, which gives access to a very large library of searchable GIFs.

The tool is built as an extension for wpForo. A GIF button appears in the editor, and clicking it opens a popup where members search and preview GIFs live before inserting one. It works in topics, replies and private messages, so the experience stays consistent across the forum. It suits communities that want a more visual, relaxed tone in their discussions.

Features

• Giphy API connection: The plugin draws on the Giphy API, giving members access to hundreds of thousands of animated GIFs they can search and use in their forum content.
• GIF button in the editor: A GIF button sits at the bottom right of the editor, so members can reach GIF search at any point while they write.
• Live search popup: Members search for GIFs in a popup window and preview them live, which helps them pick the right one before it goes into the message.
• Works in topics and posts: GIFs can be embedded in new topics and in replies, so visual reactions are available wherever members take part in a discussion.
• Private message support: The same GIF button appears in private message editors, letting members share GIFs in one-to-one conversations as well as in public threads.
• Built for wpForo: The plugin is an extension made specifically for wpForo and fits its modern, responsive forum design, so the button looks at home in the editor.
• Settings in the wpForo dashboard: Configuration options sit inside the wpForo dashboard, so you can adjust the addon's settings in the same place you manage the rest of your forum.
