That makes it harder to track sales, match records for accounting and talk with customers about a specific order. This plugin replaces those IDs with an ordered series that counts up from a starting number you choose, or carries on from your highest existing order number.

Beyond plain counting, you can shape what each number looks like. Add a prefix or suffix for branding, a store identifier or a department code, include date and time elements, and pad numbers with leading zeros so they share one length.
