Gifting for WooCommerce Subscriptions

Memberships, services and virtual products are hard to give as gifts because a shipping address often does not apply. This plugin solves that by letting a customer buy a subscription for someone else with just the recipient's email address entered during purchase. The buyer pays, and the recipient receives the subscription as their own.

After checkout, the plugin sets up the recipient so they can take part right away. Both people can view renewal orders and manage the subscription over its life, which keeps shipping and account details correct. Gifted subscriptions tied to WooCommerce Memberships pass the membership benefits to the recipient. The result is a store that can sell subscriptions for holidays, birthdays and other occasions with less back and forth with customers.

Features

• Gifting with a recipient email: A customer enters the recipient's email address while buying a subscription product, which turns an ordinary subscription purchase into a gift for a friend, family member or colleague.
• Guided recipient setup: The recipient gets a new account and an email notice, then follows prompts to complete their profile and shipping details, so store staff do not need to set anything up by hand.
• Shared subscription management: Buyer and recipient can each suspend or cancel the subscription, view renewal orders and update shipping information on their own, which cuts down on support requests.
• WooCommerce Memberships support: When a gifted subscription is linked to WooCommerce Memberships, the recipient receives the membership benefits that come with it.
• Clear ownership display: Pages and orders show who bought the subscription and who receives it, so both customers and store owners can track gifted products easily.
• Shared email notifications: Customizable email alerts keep both people informed about subscription events such as renewals, which reduces questions about what is happening with a gift.
• Download permissions for recipients: Downloadable product permissions go to the recipient automatically, with an option to include the purchaser as well, so digital products reach the right person.
• Controlled data sharing: The plugin limits what information passes between buyer and recipient, giving each party the subscription details they need while protecting sensitive data.
