Ultimate Member - User Locations

Community sites often have a member directory that lists names and profiles but says nothing about where people live. Ultimate Member – User Locations fills that gap. Members add a location to their registration or profile form, and that data feeds a map inside the directory. Visitors can then look for members by area instead of scrolling through a long list.

The map runs on the Google Maps API and shows member avatars as markers. Clicking an avatar opens a small profile card, and members who live close together are grouped into clusters so the map stays readable. This fits clubs, professional networks, local organizations and social communities that want members to meet people in their own region.

Features

• Location field for profiles: Adds a customizable location field to registration and profile forms, so members can enter their geographic location as part of the forms they already fill in.
• Browser-based location detection: Members can let their browser detect where they are after granting permission, which lets them share their location with a single click instead of typing an address.
• Searchable directory field: A location field in the member directory lets visitors search for users in specific areas, which makes it easier to find people close to a place.
• Interactive Google Map: The member directory page displays an interactive Google Map that plots member locations, giving visitors a visual way to see where the community is based.
• Avatars as map markers: User avatars appear as the markers on the map, so visitors can recognize members at a glance and see who lives in each area.
• Compact profile cards: Clicking an avatar opens a small profile card on the map with details such as the display name and custom directory information, giving a quick preview.
• User clustering: Members who live in close proximity are grouped into clusters, which keeps the map clear and easy to use even when the directory has many members.
• Drag to explore regions: Visitors and members can drag the map to look at different regions and discover users beyond what a typed search would return.
