Ultimate Member - Private Content

Membership sites, client portals and learning platforms often need to share information with one person only. Ultimate Member – Private Content handles this inside WordPress. Each user gets a private content area in the admin, where an administrator can write and update what that member should see. No coding is needed, and the editing screen works like the rest of the WordPress backend.

Members see their content on their own profile, in a private content tab that appears only when something has been assigned to them. Other users keep a clean profile with no empty tab. Administrators can also place the content anywhere on the site with the [um_private_content] shortcode, rename the tab, change its icon, or turn the tab off entirely.

Features

• Private area for each user: Every user has a dedicated private content area in the WordPress admin, so administrators can manage unique content for each member in one place.
• Familiar admin editing: Private content is added and updated through the usual WordPress backend, so administrators can work with a screen they already know and need no code.
• Shortcode placement: The [um_private_content] shortcode embeds a user's private content anywhere on the website, which gives you flexible control over where it appears.
• Private content profile tab: A private content tab on each member's profile page gives users quick access to the content prepared for them.
• Tab shown only when needed: Only users who have been assigned private content see the tab, so profiles for everyone else stay uncluttered and easy to use.
• Custom tab name and icon: Administrators can change the name and icon of the profile tab so it matches the site's branding and wording.
• Option to disable the tab: If you prefer to present the content another way, such as through the shortcode, you can switch off the profile tab.
• Built for Ultimate Member: The extension works with the Ultimate Member plugin, so private content fits into the member profiles you already run.
