myCred Gateway - Easy Digital Downloads

Many stores run a points program but give customers no direct way to spend those points on purchases. This add-on connects myCred to Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) and turns the points balance into a payment method. Customers choose myCred at checkout, and the points they hold go toward their order.

Payment can be partial or full, so a shopper with a small balance can still use it. The gateway works with the point types you manage in myCred, and its settings can be adjusted to fit your checkout flow. It suits digital marketplaces, e-learning sites and membership-based sites that already reward user activity with points.

Features

• Custom EDD payment gateway: Adds myCred as a payment gateway inside your existing Easy Digital Downloads setup, so points appear as an option next to your other checkout methods.
• Partial or full payment: Customers can cover an order completely with their myCred point balance or pay for part of it with points, which gives them more room in how they buy.
• Multiple point types: Works with the point types managed in myCred, so you can build loyalty and rewards programs that match how your audience earns and spends points.
• Automatic point deduction: Points are deducted at checkout without manual work, which keeps each transaction accurate and removes the need to adjust balances by hand.
• Customizable gateway settings: Adjust how the payment gateway looks and behaves so it fits the checkout flow and brand of your store.
• Encourages repeat purchases: Customers who earn points have a reason to come back and spend them, which supports retention and ongoing activity on your site.
• Spending without discounts: Points let customers pay for items through your rewards system instead of through traditional discounts, so you can reward loyalty in a different way.
