EventOn ICS Importer Add-on

Keeping a website calendar in step with the calendar you actually use takes time when every event is entered twice. This add-on reads the common .ics format, which Outlook, iCal and Google Calendar can all produce, and turns those entries into events in your EventON calendar. It suits anyone who plans events in one place and publishes them in another.

You choose how the import runs. Upload a file when you need a one-time batch, or link to an external ICS source and set a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. Before an import is finalized you can review the list, deselect entries and edit details. Timezone options and all-day event detection help imported events appear as intended. It works only with EventON calendars.

• Import from ICS files: Bring in events from Outlook, iCal, Google Calendar or any service that exports the widely supported .ics file format into your EventON calendar.
• Manual and scheduled imports: Upload an ICS file directly, or connect an external ICS URL and set automatic imports to run daily, weekly or monthly.
• UID-based event syncing: Events that were imported before are matched by their unique identifiers (UIDs), so changes made in the external calendar carry over to the existing events on your site.
• Timezone settings: Choose your website's timezone, the timezone stored in the ICS file, or a custom timezone, so event times display correctly for your audience.
• All-day event detection: All-day events are identified and imported correctly, which saves you from fixing their times by hand after the import.
• Review imported events list: Look through the imported events, select or deselect entries, and edit them in the interface before you finalize the import.
• Bulk editing side panel: An expandable side panel lets you adjust imported event times, add user interaction values and change other details across many events together.
• Import results with links: After an import you see the results right away, with direct links to the newly created events so you can open and edit them.
