myCred Video Add-on For JW Player

Video pages often get watched once and forgotten. This add-on gives viewers a reason to press play and keep watching by paying out myCred points for what they do in the player. Points can be granted when a video starts, when it is finished, or at set time intervals during playback, so you can match the reward to the behavior you want to encourage.

The add-on works with JW Player and the myCred points system you already run. You set the point amounts to fit the value of your content, and you can place the functionality where you need it with shortcodes. It runs on a single WordPress site and on multisite installations, which suits both a small site and a larger network.

Features

• Points when a video starts: Grant points as soon as a user begins watching a video, giving viewers an immediate reward for pressing play.
• Points for completed videos: Award points only after a user has watched the whole video, which encourages viewers to stay through to the end.
• Interval-based point awards: Give points at set time intervals during playback, so viewers earn more the longer they keep watching.
• Built for JW Player: The add-on is designed specifically for JW Player and tracks viewing activity there, awarding points automatically as people watch.
• Shortcode support: Use simple shortcodes to place the add-on's functionality where you want it on your site, which gives you flexible placement.
• Single and multisite support: Run the plugin on an individual WordPress site or across a multisite network, depending on how your sites are set up.
• Customizable point settings: Adjust how many points are awarded so the rewards fit the value of your content and your site's existing reward system.
• Works with myCred points: Rewards are paid in myCred points, so video activity ties into the same points management system you use elsewhere on your site.
