Overview

Profiles on a community site can feel plain when members have no way to share pictures. Ultimate Member – User Photos fixes that by giving each member a place to upload photos, group them into albums and display them on their profile. Everything is handled from the profile interface, so members do not need to leave the page to manage their collection.

The plugin works as an extension to the Ultimate Member plugin, so it fits sites already using that system for profiles. It suits social networks, membership sites and other communities where members interact with each other. If the social activity extension is also in use, new photo albums can be shared in the activity feed, which puts members' pictures in front of the rest of the community.

Features

  • Photo uploads on profiles: Members can upload photos straight to their profile, which gives them an easy way to share pictures and personalize their space on your site.
  • Multiple albums: Users can create several albums and sort their photos into them, so each collection is organized and easy for visitors to follow.
  • Album and Photos profile tabs: Dedicated tabs on each profile present albums and photos in a clean, organized layout, so visitors can browse a member's pictures in one place.
  • Edit and delete controls: Members can edit or delete their own photos and albums at any time, which keeps their profile curated and up to date.
  • Social activity feed sharing: With the social activity extension, new photo uploads and album creations can be shared in the activity feed so other members see them.
  • Gallery shortcode: A gallery photos shortcode is available for displaying member photos, giving you a way to place galleries where you need them on your site.
  • My Photos account tab: Members can reach their own photos from a My Photos tab in their account area, which keeps management close to the rest of their settings.

Best for

  • Community sites built on Ultimate Member profiles
  • Social networks where members share personal photos
  • Membership sites that want richer member profiles
