Overview
Many site owners want form entries to reach a CRM or another service, but no ready-made plugin exists for every tool. Paid third-party connectors can fill the gap, though they add another service to maintain. This add-on lets you send the data straight from your WordPress site to the URL your target service expects, using standard HTTP methods.
Setup happens inside the form builder. You add a webhook action to a form, then use Ninja Forms merge tags to match each form field to the data key the receiving service wants. API keys and other authentication tokens can go into the request when a service requires them. Developers can also listen for webhook events and build their own functionality, and built-in debugging tools help you check what a request contains.
Features
- GET and POST requests: Send form data to any external URL using standard HTTP methods, which makes it work with a wide range of services that accept webhook calls.
- Merge tag field mapping: Use the Ninja Forms merge tag system to match each form field to the data key the receiving service expects, with no code to write.
- API key support: Include API keys and other authentication tokens in your webhook requests so they meet the requirements of the service you are sending data to.
- Point-and-click setup: Add and configure a webhook action on any Ninja Form through the interface, so connecting a service does not call for technical work.
- Developer hooks: Developers can listen for webhook events and build custom functionality, which allows integrations beyond the standard workflow of sending a form to a URL.
- No extra services needed: Data transfers are managed directly from your WordPress site, so you avoid third-party integration services and the upkeep of custom code.
- Built-in debugging tools: Check and verify webhook payloads inside your WordPress environment, which makes troubleshooting a failing connection simpler.
- Works with Ninja Forms: Designed as an add-on for Ninja Forms, so webhook actions sit alongside the forms you already build and manage in WordPress.
