Ultimate Member Unsplash

Profile cover photos often end up blank or inconsistent because members have no good source of images. This extension connects Ultimate Member profiles to the Unsplash photo library, so members can pick a cover photo without leaving your site. They can also upload their own image if they prefer.

Admins control the experience through the settings. You enter search terms, and photos matching those terms are pre-loaded for members to browse, which keeps the choices relevant to your community. The extension connects with your own Unsplash developer account and API key, follows Unsplash's API rate limit rules, and shows photographer credit on the cover photo to meet attribution requirements.

Features

• Unsplash cover photo selection: Members can choose a profile cover photo directly from the Unsplash library inside your Ultimate Member community, so they can personalize profiles without hunting for images elsewhere.
• Upload or choose: Each member can upload a personal cover photo or pick one from the Unsplash selection, which leaves the decision about how to personalize a profile to them.
• Pre-loaded photos by search term: Admins define keywords, and photos matching them are pre-loaded for members. This keeps the available imagery in line with your community's topic and style.
• Interactive modal interface: Choosing from Unsplash opens a modal with search and preview, so members can look through photos and make a selection quickly.
• Your own API key: The extension connects to Unsplash through your own developer account and API key, which provides authorized access to the image service.
• Rate limit compliance: The extension respects Unsplash's API rate limits and follows the production checks Unsplash requires, so image loading is not interrupted by limit issues.
• Automatic photo attribution: Photographer credit appears in the top-right corner of cover photos, which meets Unsplash's attribution requirements and credits the people behind the images.
• Simple admin settings: Configuration happens in the admin settings, where you set the search terms that shape the images members see. No custom code is described as necessary.
