wpForo Advanced Attachments

Forum discussions often need more than text. Members want to share a screenshot, a document, a recording or a video clip, and they want it to appear where it makes sense in the conversation. This addon adds that ability to wpForo. Users can attach several files at once, drag them into the browser window, and insert them inline between paragraphs of a post.

Admins keep control of what is shared. You can limit the allowed file types and the maximum upload size, and use wpForo user groups to decide who may upload or view attachments. Guests can be blocked from viewing files if the content is sensitive. Each user also gets a personal media library, so files can be reused across topics and posts. The interface is responsive and ready for right-to-left languages.

Features

• Multi-file attachments: Members can attach several files in one go, including images, videos, audio and any other file type the forum permits, directly to their topics and posts.
• Inline file insertion: Files can be placed within the body of a post, between paragraphs of text, so readers see each attachment in the context where it belongs.
• AJAX uploads with drag and drop: Files upload and are validated without a page reload. Users can drag files into the browser window instead of browsing for them.
• Individual user media libraries: Attachments are stored separately for each user, so a member can reuse previously uploaded files across different topics and posts and keep them organized.
• Lightbox slider: Attached images, videos and audio open in a lightbox with navigation controls, so readers can move through media without leaving the discussion page.
• File type and size limits: Admins can restrict which file types are allowed and set a maximum upload size, which helps keep the forum secure and the server load manageable.
• Usergroup permissions and guest limits: Access follows wpForo user groups, so you choose who can upload or view attachments. Viewing can also be turned off for guests or selected groups.
• Shortcode and translation support: The [attach] shortcode displays attachments on posts, pages and widgets outside wpForo. Front-end messages can be translated in the addon settings for multilingual forums.

Best for

• wpForo forums where members share images, documents or video
• Community admins who need upload limits and group-based access
• Multilingual or right-to-left forums needing translatable messages
