wpDiscuz - Online Users

Comment sections can feel static, because readers cannot tell whether the person who wrote a comment is around to reply. wpDiscuz – Online Users addresses that by placing an online or offline badge next to each comment author's name. Visitors can quickly see who is active and who has stepped away, which makes timely replies easier.

The addon works inside your existing wpDiscuz setup and uses AJAX, so badges change without a page reload. When a user logs in, a pop-up can appear with their avatar, name and a short preview of their latest comment, linked to the full text. Styling for badges and pop-ups is handled in the wpDiscuz settings, so they can match your design. A newer option lets you manage which users can have online status.

Features

• Online and offline badges: A badge appears beside each comment author's name and shows whether that person is online right now, so readers can spot active participants at a glance.
• Updates without page reloads: The addon uses AJAX to refresh badges in real time, so the comment section reflects current status while visitors keep reading and never need to refresh.
• Login pop-up notifications: When a user logs in, visitors see a pop-up with the user's avatar, name and an excerpt of their last comment, with a clickable link to it.
• Customizable front-end styling: Badge appearance and notification pop-ups can be adjusted from the wpDiscuz settings, which helps them fit the look of your existing website design.
• Built for wpDiscuz: This addon is made exclusively to work with the wpDiscuz commenting plugin, so it fits into the comment system you already run on your site.
• Control over who shows online: An option lets you manage which users can have an online status, giving you a say in whose presence is displayed in the comment section.
• Light on site resources: The addon is designed to work efficiently inside the comment section, so the status features run without adding unnecessary weight to your pages.
