UsersWP Advanced Search

Basic user search works for a handful of profiles, but it gets slow to use once a site has many members. Visitors want to narrow a list by things like gender, country, age or profession, and a single text box rarely does that well. UsersWP Advanced Search adds those filters to the search form that UsersWP already provides.

Setup is built around the custom fields on your user profiles. When you add a field, you can turn it into a search filter with a checkbox, with no coding. You can then combine several filters in one form, such as age range, location and relationship status. It fits dating sites, professional directories, membership communities and any site that lists user profiles.

Features

• Filter by custom fields: Visitors can filter users by any custom field you define, such as gender, country, age or profession, which gives them a shorter and more relevant list of profiles.
• Checkbox filter activation: Any custom user field becomes a filter option when you check a box. No coding or technical background is needed to add a new search criterion.
• Multi-criteria searches: Several filters can be combined in one search, so visitors can match users on overlapping attributes like age range, location and relationship status at the same time.
• Works with UsersWP: The plugin is built as an add-on for UsersWP and extends its search form without disrupting the functionality you already use on the site.
• Customizable search forms: You can add and customize search forms so they offer only the filters that make sense for your community, directory or membership site.
• Simple settings panel: A user-friendly settings panel lets you configure and set up your advanced search forms quickly, with minimal effort on your part.
• Search by profile details: Search filters cover details such as username, email and profile fields, so visitors can look for people using the information that matters to them.
• Country options in search form: Country choices display properly in the search form, which matters for sites where visitors look for members by location.
