Overview

Editing a live post is risky when several people have access. A small slip can show up on the site right away. PublishPress Revisions Pro gives contributors a way to submit a revision request instead of changing published content directly. The update waits in a Revision Queue, where administrators and editors can approve or reject it. Visitors only see content that has been signed off.

The plugin works with the native WordPress editor and with page builders such as Elementor, Divi and Beaver Builder. It also supports WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Advanced Custom Fields and WPML. Email notifications keep the team informed, and a revision archive keeps a record of past changes. It suits blogs, company sites and stores where more than one person updates content.

Features

  • Scheduled revisions: Schedule changes to published posts so the update goes live automatically at the date and time you choose, which helps when you plan content ahead.
  • Revisor role and permissions: Assign the new Revisor role or adjust existing WordPress roles to control exactly who can submit content revisions on your site.
  • Revision Queue moderation: Contributors submit change requests, and administrators and editors approve or reject them from a central Revision Queue before anything reaches the live page.
  • Compare proposed edits: Review proposed changes in the native WordPress Compare Revisions screen to spot differences before approving an update.
  • Page builder support: Work with Elementor, Divi and Beaver Builder content, including a Visual Compare view that uses builder-rendered content to show revisions side by side.
  • Email notifications: Administrators and editors get alerts about new submissions, approvals and published updates. PublishPress Planner can be used to tailor who receives each message.
  • Multilingual revisions with WPML: Manage revisions on multilingual sites, with language filtering to organize and approve changes in each language independently.
  • Revision history archive: Keep a detailed archive of all revisions for auditing and easy retrieval, so you can track how content has changed over time.

Best for

  • Multi-author blogs that need editorial approval
  • Business sites with several content editors
  • WooCommerce and multilingual sites managing frequent updates
