Overview
Before this add-on, putting a Gravity Forms form into a page usually meant pasting a shortcode and hoping the settings were right. Gravity Forms Gutenberg replaces that step with a Gravity Forms block. You pick the form you want, drop it into the content, and adjust its settings inside the editor. A live preview shows how the form will look as you change options, so you can check it before the page goes out.
The add-on also brings conditional logic into the editor. You can show or hide a form based on login status, user role or the current time, which helps when different visitors should see different things. Existing shortcodes can be converted into blocks with their settings kept in place. It also works with reusable blocks, so one configured form block can be used across many pages. It suits sites that already run Gravity Forms and have moved to the block editor.
Features
- Dedicated Gravity Forms block: Embed any Gravity Forms form straight from the Gutenberg editor. The block removes the need for shortcodes, which keeps form insertion and management simple.
- Live form preview: See changes to a form inside the editor as you adjust its settings, so you can check how it looks before the page is published.
- Conditional display by login status: Show or hide a form depending on whether the visitor is logged in, which lets you present the right form to the right audience.
- Conditional display by user role: Control which user roles can see a form. This makes it easier to offer different forms to different groups of visitors.
- Time-based form visibility: Set a form to appear or disappear based on the current time, giving you context-aware forms without extra configuration.
- Shortcode conversion: Existing Gravity Forms shortcodes convert into Gutenberg blocks automatically. Their settings are preserved, so older content keeps working.
- Reusable block compatibility: Combine conditional logic with reusable Gutenberg blocks. Configure one form block once and use it across your site without repeating the setup.
- Easier move from classic editor: The add-on helps sites adopt Gutenberg by making form handling feel natural in the block editor, which suits both businesses and developers.
