Video Player & FullScreen Video Background

Many sites need video in two ways: as a player inside a page, and as a moving background behind a section or an entire page. This plugin covers both. You can embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo using only its video ID, or point the player at a self-hosted file. The player comes in a fixed width or a full width layout, so you can match it to your page design.

The full-screen background fills the whole viewport without black bars, and you can lay a texture over the video for a distinct look. The layout adapts to different screen sizes and works on iOS and Android devices. Where a video background is unavailable on mobile, an optional fallback image can be shown instead. Layered PSD files are included for designers who want to adjust the visuals.

Features

• Three video sources: Play videos from YouTube, Vimeo or self-hosted files. For the hosted platforms, you only need the video ID to embed the content.
• Responsive design: The player and the backgrounds adapt to different screen sizes and browser resolutions, so they fit desktops, tablets and smartphones.
• iOS and Android compatibility: The plugin works on iOS and Android devices, so visitors on phones and tablets can watch your videos and see your backgrounds.
• Fixed or full width layout: Choose a contained video player or a full-width layout, depending on how the video should sit within your page design.
• Full-screen video background: Run a video behind your content so it covers the entire viewport without black bars, creating an immersive backdrop for a page or section.
• Optional mobile fallback image: Set a fallback image to appear on mobile devices where the video background is unavailable or unsupported.
• Texture overlay on video: Add a texture over a video background to change its look, with no extra image assets needed for the effect.
• Layered PSD files included: Responsive PSD files let designers and developers adjust the plugin's visual elements to match a brand.
