Easy Digital Downloads - Purchase Limit

Some digital products are not meant to sell without end. You may want to keep an offer exclusive, respect a licensing restriction, or stop one buyer from placing a large bulk order. This plugin gives you a way to set those limits inside the store, so you do not have to track purchases by hand or write custom code.

You manage everything from the WordPress dashboard. Limits can be set per product, per customer, per product variation or globally, and the plugin applies them during checkout so customers cannot go past the allowed quantity. It works with Easy Digital Downloads and sits alongside other EDD extensions, which suits stores selling eBooks, software, music or other digital files.

Features

• Limits for each product: Define how many times a single digital product can be purchased. This helps you keep an item exclusive and prevents it from being sold past the amount you choose.
• Customer-specific limits: Restrict purchases by individual customer. This supports fair distribution and cuts down on bulk buying that looks fraudulent or goes against your terms of sale.
• Global and variation settings: Apply limits across the whole store, per customer or per product variation, so the restriction matches how each item is actually sold.
• Automatic checkout enforcement: The plugin checks limits while customers check out and stops them from exceeding the quantity you allow, with no manual review needed.
• Start and end dates: A global start and end date can be set for purchase limits, which lets you run limits for a defined period of time.
• Dashboard management: Set up and adjust every limit from your WordPress dashboard. The interface is built so you can work without coding or technical knowledge.
• Support for licensing restrictions: Purchase restrictions help you control how licensed digital products are distributed and reduce the risk of unauthorized sales.
• Works with other EDD extensions: Built for Easy Digital Downloads, the plugin is designed to run alongside other EDD add-ons without disrupting your existing store setup.
