Directorist - Search Alert

Directory visitors often search once, find nothing new, and never come back. Directorist – Search Alert gives them a way to save their search criteria and be told when a matching listing is added. They do not need to repeat the same search by hand, and your directory stays in front of people who have already shown what they want.

The plugin works with the Directorist directory system and can be used on a local business directory, a job board or a classified listings site. Users choose how often they hear from you and can manage their own alerts. Administrators get a configuration panel that needs no coding, plus data on alerts and user preferences.

Features

• Saved search notifications: Users receive a notice when a new listing matches the search criteria they saved, so they learn about relevant additions without searching again.
• Adjustable alert frequency: Each user selects how often notifications arrive, which helps them stay informed without being flooded with messages.
• Subscription management: Users can review and manage their own search alerts, keeping control of what they are subscribed to.
• Email and push delivery: Alerts can be sent by email or push notification, so users can be reached in the way they prefer.
• Advanced filtering options: Users define precise search parameters for their alerts, which keeps the notifications relevant to what they are looking for.
• Mobile responsive interfaces: Alerts and the subscription screens are designed to work on any device, so users can sign up and manage alerts on the go.
• Admin dashboard insights: Administrators can view data on alert performance, user preferences and engagement metrics from the admin side.
• Translation plugin compatibility: The extension works with popular translation plugins, which helps directories serve visitors who use different languages.
