AIOSEO - News Sitemap

News content moves fast, and Google News expects a sitemap built to its own rules. Building one by hand is tedious and easy to get wrong. This plugin generates it for you inside WordPress. The sitemap is created on the fly as virtual output, so no physical files are written to your server, and it lists only articles from the last 48 hours, which matches what Google News asks for.

You also decide what goes in. Toggles let you include or exclude post types, and you can set the publication name that represents your site. Built-in validation keeps submissions aligned with Google News policies, and the plugin is ready for Google's Publisher Center. It belongs to the All in One SEO family, so it fits sites already using that toolkit for search optimization.

Features

• Automatic news sitemap creation: The plugin builds and updates a Google News sitemap in real time, so new articles appear in it without manual work or repeated exports.
• Google News specification support: The sitemap follows Google News technical requirements, so it is formatted in a way Google's news indexing system can read.
• Recent articles only: Only articles from the last 48 hours are listed, which matches the window Google News guidelines call for.
• Post type controls and exclusions: Simple toggles let you choose which post types or articles are included or excluded, giving you control over what you submit as news.
• Custom publication branding: Set the publication name and how your site is represented, so your news presence stays consistent in Google News.
• Publisher Center ready: The plugin is designed to work with Google's Publisher Center, which helps when you set up your publication for Google News.
• Virtual sitemaps without files: Sitemaps are generated dynamically instead of being saved as physical files, which keeps your WordPress site tidy while updates stay current.
• Built-in validation: Validation checks help keep your submissions in line with Google News policies and reduce the chance of a rejected sitemap.
