Paid Memberships Pro - Cancel on Next Payment Date

Standard cancellation often removes a member's access the moment they cancel. That can feel unfair to someone who has already paid for the current period, and it tends to cause confusion and extra questions for site administrators. This plugin changes that behavior. When a member cancels, their membership benefits stay in place until the next payment date arrives.

The plugin is built for sites that already use Paid Memberships Pro, and it works with the membership setup you have. Access is scheduled to end only after the current billing cycle concludes, which reduces manual handling of cancellations. It suits subscription-based services that want a clear, fair exit for members and fewer billing disputes to sort out. The recent security work also covers how PayPal Express payment dates are read.

Features

• Access until next payment date: After a member cancels, their membership benefits remain active until the next scheduled payment date, so they receive the full period they already paid for.
• Built for Paid Memberships Pro: This extension attaches to your existing Paid Memberships Pro membership system, so it fits the setup you already run without a separate workflow.
• Automatic end of access: Cancellation handling is scheduled for you. Access ends only after the current billing cycle concludes, which means less manual work for administrators.
• Fewer support requests: Clear handling of membership expiration reduces confusion and billing disputes, which cuts down on the support tickets and admin effort that cancellations can create.
• Support for multiple billing cycles: The plugin works with different subscription frequencies, such as monthly or yearly, so it can match the billing model your membership site uses.
• Customizable member messaging: Members can be told clearly about their membership status and the date their cancellation takes effect, which keeps expectations straight.
• Validated PayPal Express dates: For PayPal Express payments, the next payment date is read only from validated PayPal IPN requests, which keeps the date the plugin relies on trustworthy.
• Window for retention offers: The period between cancellation and the next billing date gives you room to offer retention incentives or run re-engagement campaigns with members who are leaving.
