BuddyPress Giphy

Text-only conversations can feel flat in a social community. BuddyPress Giphy gives members a quick way to add a reaction, a joke or a bit of personality. They search for a GIF from the post box and drop it into what they are writing, so the tool sits right where they already type.

The plugin works in activity posts, private messages and comments, which keeps the experience consistent across the site. Admins get settings to control where and how GIFs appear, so the feature can match the tone of your community. The layout is responsive, so members can share GIFs from a phone or a desktop.

Features

• Giphy GIFs in BuddyPress: Members can insert trending and expressive Giphy GIFs into BuddyPress activity streams, messages and comments, adding a visual layer to everyday conversations.
• Search inside the post box: GIF search and selection happen directly within BuddyPress post boxes, so members of any skill level can find and add a GIF without extra steps.
• Works in activity posts: GIF sharing is available in activity posts, which lets members add a visual reaction to the updates they publish in the community feed.
• Private message support: Members can add GIFs to private messages as well, so one-to-one chats get the same expressive options as public posts.
• GIFs in comments: Comments accept GIFs too, giving members a simple way to reply with a reaction and keep threads lively across the whole site.
• Admin display controls: Plugin options let site admins decide where and how GIFs appear, which helps the feature fit the style and tone of your community.
• Responsive on any device: The responsive design lets members share and view GIFs on phones, tablets and desktops, so participation is not tied to one screen size.
• Built to stay light: The plugin is designed to add GIF functionality while blending into the BuddyPress environment and keeping the experience smooth for members.
