SearchWP Modal Search Form

Site search often sits in a small box that visitors overlook or that clashes with the design. SearchWP Modal Search Form moves search into a focused popup. It can fill the screen, and it has an option to disable page scrolling so visitors can concentrate on finding content. Results show as people type, using Ajax live search.

The plugin works with the SearchWP interface and adapts to your theme's styling through built-in template loaders. You can place the popup with Gutenberg blocks or shortcodes, or add it to your WordPress navigation menu. It also lets you weight results by keyword, so the content you care about most shows up first.

Features

• Search popup anywhere: Insert the search modal with Gutenberg blocks or simple shortcodes, so you can place it in posts, pages or any spot your layout allows.
• WordPress menu integration: Add the popup search directly to your site's navigation menu, giving visitors a quick way to start a search from any page.
• Distraction-free modal: Full-screen modals come with scroll-disable options, which keeps visitors focused on the search field and the results.
• Live Ajax results: Search results appear in real time as visitors type, so they see relevant suggestions without waiting for a new page to load.
• Smart search algorithm: A ranking system indexes content and prioritizes it by relevance and visitor trends, aiming to put the most fitting results first.
• Customizable modal templates: Built-in template loaders let the popup inherit your theme's styling, and you can adjust its look and feel to match your design.
• Control result order: Weight search results by keyword to place your most important content higher in the list that visitors see.
• Works with any theme: The modal adjusts to your site's design and is built to work with any WordPress theme.
