Overview
The default WordPress media library is a single long list, and it gets hard to work with once a site holds many images, videos and documents. This plugin adds a folder structure inside the dashboard. You can create as many folders and subfolders as you need, drag files into them, and assign a file to more than one folder when a single location is too limiting.
The folder system reaches past media. You can sort posts, pages, custom post types, WooCommerce products, coupons, orders and even the plugins list. Folders use custom taxonomy terms, so original file paths stay unchanged. It works on multisite networks, supports right-to-left languages, and lets you restrict folder management to chosen user roles, which suits blogs, online stores and client sites.
Features
- Unlimited folders and subfolders: Create as many folders as you need and nest them to any depth, arranging them by drag and drop in a layout that feels like a computer file browser.
- Folders for all post types: Sort posts, pages, custom post types, WooCommerce products, coupons, orders and plugins into folders, so content management follows one consistent pattern across the dashboard.
- Direct upload to folders: Upload files straight into a chosen folder, from either the media library or the Add New media screen, so new files land where they belong.
- SVG upload with sanitization: Upload SVG files with automatic sanitization and preview them in the library, which keeps vector graphics usable and checked before they reach your pages.
- Galleries from folders: Build galleries from a folder using a shortcode, a Gutenberg block or a Bricks element. A built-in lightbox is included for viewing the images.
- Import from other folder plugins: Move existing folders over from plugins such as FileBird, Enhanced Media Library and Wicked Folders with a single click, rather than rebuilding your structure by hand.
- Role-based folder control: Limit folder creation and editing to specific user roles, which helps prevent accidental or unauthorized changes on sites with several editors or contributors.
- Page builder compatibility: Works with Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Brizy, Oxygen and Visual Composer, so you can reach your organized folders while building pages.
Best for
