  • Fixed RSS feed items are cleaned before they reach the widget template, including fields nested inside an item
  • Fixed Titles, authors, categories, and the other text fields are plain text. Encoded characters are decoded first, script and style blocks are removed, and any remaining tags are stripped. Extra spaces are collapsed
  • Fixed Description, content, summary, and subtitle keep their formatting, but only the HTML WordPress allows in a post. Scripts, styles, and event handlers are removed
  • Fixed Link, guid, enclosure, and image fields keep a normal web address. A javascript: or data: address is dropped, and tags inside the address are stripped
  • Fixed Markup hidden inside HTML entities, such as an encoded script tag, is decoded before that cleanup, so it cannot slip through as text
