Give Text-to-Give

Many supporters want to give right when they feel moved, at an event, during a campaign or while away from a computer. Give Text-to-Give lets them do that from a phone. A donor texts a donation amount to a dedicated number, registers securely, and confirms the gift. There are no long forms or web pages to open.

The add-on works with GiveWP and uses Twilio for messaging and Stripe for payment processing. You connect your GiveWP forms to Twilio, and text giving can run on new or existing forms. Once a donor has registered, they can give again by sending another amount, which keeps repeat gifts simple. Everything is managed from your WordPress dashboard.

Features

• Text donations to GiveWP forms: Donors give by SMS from wherever they are, and the gifts go to your GiveWP forms so your fundraising stays in one place.
• Twilio and Stripe behind the scenes: Twilio handles the text messaging and Stripe processes the payments, so donors can give securely from their phones.
• Simple two-step giving: Donors text a dedicated number and then confirm their contribution. No complicated forms or web pages are needed to complete a gift.
• Customizable SMS messaging: Edit the text responses and prompts so the messages donors receive during the giving flow match your organization's voice.
• Quick connection to Twilio: Link your GiveWP donation forms to Twilio and turn on text giving for new or existing forms without technical work.
• Friendly to repeat donors: After registering once, donors can give again by sending another donation amount by text, which keeps ongoing support easy.
• Pay-as-you-go messaging costs: SMS messaging follows a pay-as-you-go pricing model, so you pay for the messages you actually use.
• Works with standard WordPress setups: The add-on runs on standard WordPress requirements and works alongside the GiveWP donation plugin on supported releases.
