Memberpress Gifting

Many membership sites grow only when a visitor decides to join for themselves. Memberpress Gifting gives your current members another way to bring people in: they buy a membership as a gift for a friend, family member or colleague. Recipients get to try your content, courses or services, and some may stay on as members of their own.

The add-on works inside your existing MemberPress setup, so your current membership rules, payments and content protection stay in place. Buyers choose from the membership levels or durations you offer as gifts, and notifications go out to the recipient. It suits course platforms, premium content sites and specialized communities that want a gifting option for holidays, birthdays or other occasions.

Features

• Gift membership purchases: Customers can buy a membership for another person during checkout, which gives members a simple way to share your content, courses or services with people they know.
• Automated gift notifications: Gift notifications and membership details are sent to recipients automatically, so the person receiving the gift gets what they need without manual follow-up from you.
• Choice of levels and durations: Offer several membership levels or durations as gift options, so buyers can pick a gift that fits their budget and the person they are giving it to.
• Works with MemberPress: The add-on runs inside your existing MemberPress environment and keeps your current membership rules, payments and content protection in place.
• Recipient information capture: Gift recipient details are collected, which gives you a way to follow up with new contacts and invite them to stay on as members.
• Enable gifting setting: Gifting is switched on through an enable checkbox in your membership settings, so you decide which memberships can be bought as gifts.
• Gift claimed and purchased events: Events are recorded when a gift is purchased and when it is claimed, which helps you follow what happens to each gift.
• Gifted subscription handling: Gifted subscriptions are set up to follow the terms of the membership chosen, rather than defaulting to lifetime access for the recipient.
