LearnDash LMS - Migration

Switching learning platforms usually means recreating every course from scratch. This add-on handles the transfer for content built in LearnPress, Tutor LMS, Sensei LMS or Lifter LMS. It reads the structure of the source course and maps it to the way LearnDash organizes lessons, topics, quizzes and questions, so your material stays logically arranged after the move.

You choose the source LMS and the courses to migrate from the LearnDash LMS settings. Some items are left out because the platforms differ: course progression data, meta attributes and media files do not transfer. After migrating from Sensei LMS or Lifter LMS, you are reminded to review the content, especially custom blocks and features, to confirm they came across correctly.

Features

• Course content migration: Imports lessons, topics, quizzes and questions from LearnPress, Tutor LMS, Sensei LMS and Lifter LMS, so existing educational material carries over into LearnDash.
• Smart content mapping: Converts source structures to LearnDash equivalents, such as LearnPress sections to LearnDash lessons and Tutor LMS topics to lessons, keeping each course organized.
• Several source platforms: Works with four WordPress LMS plugins, which helps course creators who are coming from different systems or consolidating content from more than one.
• Quiz and question conversion: Keeps core quiz content intact and converts specific question types, such as Lifter LMS multiple choice questions, to match the LearnDash format.
• Course-by-course selection: Lets you pick the source LMS and the specific courses to migrate from the LearnDash LMS settings with a few clicks.
• Post-migration reminders: Prompts you to double-check migrated content, particularly courses from Sensei LMS and Lifter LMS, so custom blocks and features are confirmed after the move.
• Filter for question formatting: Includes a learndash_migration_format_question filter, and LearnPress quiz question text is migrated correctly, which gives developers a hook for adjusting question output.
