Read WP – Minimalist WordPress Blog Theme

Many blog themes crowd the page with extras that pull attention away from the writing. Read WP takes the opposite approach with a clean, minimalist design that keeps the content in front. It uses a responsive layout, so posts display properly on desktop, tablet and smartphone. The theme is also retina ready and styled to look consistent across browsers, which helps text and images stay sharp on high-DPI screens.

Under the simple surface sits a versatile blogging setup. It supports all post formats, so articles, videos, galleries and audio can live side by side. It is built with HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery, and it adds unlimited portfolios and galleries that load more items with AJAX. Three blog layouts, unlimited sidebars and several footer widget locations let you shape the site around your own content without touching code.
