Overview
Typed addresses are easy to get wrong, and a form that collects locations needs data you can trust. This add-on gives Gravity Forms eight specialized fields, including a geocoder, address autocomplete, coordinates, a Google Map, a locator button, directions, a directions panel and a reset button. Visitors find a spot on a map, and the form fills in the details for them.
Because it works through the Google Maps API, the fields sit inside the Gravity Forms editor you already know. It suits event registrations, delivery requests and other forms where a place matters. Location details are saved with each entry, and the add-on can also write location data to post custom fields and user meta, so posts and user profiles can carry geographic information.
Features
- Eight geolocation form fields: Add a geocoder, address autocomplete, coordinates, Google Map, locator button, directions, directions panel and reset button to any form to capture and display location information.
- Google Maps integration: Forms use the Google Maps API for address autocomplete, interactive maps and routing, so location features appear right inside the form.
- Address and coordinate conversion: Convert an address into geographic coordinates, or coordinates into an address, so the data your form collects is geocoded and precise.
- Multi-location directions: Calculate driving or walking directions for two or more locations, with the route drawn on the map and step-by-step instructions shown in a dedicated panel field.
- Distance and duration calculation: Compute travel distance and estimated duration between locations, which helps with price calculations, scheduling or logistics based on geographic data.
- Geotagging posts and users: Save location data to WordPress post custom fields and to user meta, so content and user profiles can carry geographic context.
- Front-end location lookup: A locator button lets visitors find their current position through Google Maps, on mobile and desktop devices, instead of typing it out.
- Location data stored in entries: Addresses, coordinates, directions, distances and durations are all saved within form entries, keeping records together for review and reporting.
