Overview

Image-heavy content gets shared on Pinterest, but AMP pages often lack the sharing tools that regular pages have. Pinterest for AMP fills that gap. It places a Pinterest sharing icon over each image in your content, so a reader who likes a photo can pin it without leaving the page. The extension is made for AMP, so the icons are meant to fit the mobile experience those pages are built for.

Setup is meant to be simple. The extension needs no long list of settings, and the icons appear on your images once it is running. They are responsive, so they display and work on both desktop and mobile screens. It is designed to work alongside popular AMP plugins such as AMP by Automattic, which makes it a fit for sites that already serve AMP versions of their posts and pages.

Features

  • Pinterest icon on every image: A Pinterest sharing icon is overlaid directly on each image in your content, so visitors can pin a picture the moment they see it.
  • Built for AMP pages: The extension is made for Accelerated Mobile Pages, bringing Pinterest sharing into AMP environments where standard sharing tools may not appear.
  • Plug and play setup: There are no complicated settings to work through. Once the extension is running, it starts adding Pinterest sharing icons to your images.
  • Responsive icon design: The sharing icons are built to look right and work properly on desktop and mobile screens, so the experience stays consistent across devices.
  • Works with AMP plugins: It is designed to work with popular AMP plugins such as AMP by Automattic, so it can sit alongside the AMP setup you already use.
  • Archive page image display: Images appear on archive pages as well, so the Pinterest sharing icon is available wherever your AMP content lists pictures.
  • Ongoing compatibility upkeep: The extension is developed to stay compatible with evolving AMP standards and Pinterest's sharing protocols, keeping the sharing feature working as those change.

Best for

  • Bloggers publishing image-rich AMP content
  • Agencies managing AMP sites for clients
  • Site owners running AMP by Automattic
