Overview
Knowing where a form entry came from usually means setting up a separate analytics platform and matching its reports to your submissions. Ninja Forms User Analytics skips that step. It captures campaign data such as UTM source, medium, campaign and content values, along with the referrer URL, and stores them inside the form submission itself.
It also records user environment details: browser type and version and operating system. Visitors never see these fields on the front end. Administrators open the Ninja Forms submission area in the WordPress backend and read the data next to each entry. The interface stays simple, so it fits sites that want answers about their form traffic without learning a full analytics suite.
Features
- UTM campaign data capture: Records UTM source, medium, campaign and content values automatically with each submission, so you can see which campaigns brought in a given form entry.
- Browser and version details: Collects the visitor's browser type and version, including detection for Microsoft Edge, to help you understand the environments your form users work in.
- Operating system information: Stores the operating system the visitor was using alongside the rest of the submission, giving you context about the devices behind your entries.
- Referrer URL tracking: Saves the URL referrer for each submission and handles referrer links with double encoded argument separators, so the source of a visit is recorded correctly.
- Hidden fields on the front end: Analytics fields are added to your forms but stay invisible to visitors, so the form looks the same to users and the data is still collected.
- Viewing data in WordPress: Captured values appear in the Ninja Forms submission area of your WordPress backend, so you review them without switching to another dashboard.
- Built for Ninja Forms: Works as an extension for Ninja Forms and adds its fields directly to your forms, avoiding the synchronization problems that can come with separate third-party tools.
- Simple interface: There is no complicated setup or crowded analytics screen. The plugin gathers data in the background while you keep working in the familiar submission view.
