Newspaper AMP Theme

News and magazine sites often want their mobile pages to load quickly while still looking like the main site. Newspaper AMP Theme addresses this by giving AMP pages the mobile design of the popular Newspaper theme by tagDiv. Readers get a familiar layout on small screens, and the markup is built to pass AMP validation.

The plugin includes a drag and drop AMP page builder for the homepage. You can add interactive elements such as news tickers and category blocks, set how many posts each block shows, and pick a color for each one. It works with any WordPress theme, so current Newspaper users and owners of other themes can both add AMP pages to their sites.

Features

• Newspaper look on AMP pages: Replicates the Newspaper theme style by tagDiv for AMP, so your mobile pages keep a familiar news and magazine design.
• Drag and drop AMP builder: Build a custom homepage with news tickers, category blocks and other elements through a visual builder, with no coding required.
• Unlimited category blocks: Add as many category blocks as your homepage needs and set the number of posts each block displays.
• Color picker for blocks: Assign a distinct color to each category block so readers can tell your content sections apart at a glance.
• Validated AMP markup: The markup is fully AMP validated, so your pages meet Google AMP standards.
• Breadcrumbs on single posts: Breadcrumb trails appear on single post pages, helping readers and search engines see where an article sits in the site.
• Menu and search backgrounds: Set background images for the menu and search overlay to give the mobile interface a more tailored appearance.
• Works with any WordPress theme: You do not need the Newspaper theme installed. The plugin adds AMP functionality to sites running other WordPress themes.
