Overview
Many small teams collect client details and job requests through a website form, then retype the same information into their accounting software. That takes time and invites typos. This add-on removes the retyping by passing the submitted data to FreshBooks as soon as the form is sent, so your records match what the customer entered.
Setup uses feeds, which let you decide what each form creates and how its fields map to FreshBooks details. Connection to FreshBooks uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. One form can add a new client, while another issues an invoice or an estimate. It suits freelancers, agencies and small businesses that take orders, quote requests or booking details through Gravity Forms and want billing to follow from them.
Features
- Client creation from forms: Add a new client to FreshBooks each time a customer submits your form, so your client list fills from website entries without manual typing.
- Invoices from submissions: Create invoices from form data when an entry arrives. Invoices can also be sent by email, and a payment can be recorded after a Gravity Forms payment is completed.
- Estimate creation: Produce estimates from form entries, which helps when your form collects quote requests. Estimates can be sent by email to the customer.
- Custom field mapping: Choose how each form field corresponds to FreshBooks client and invoice details, so the data lands where you want it.
- More record types: Feeds can also create expenses, other income, credit notes, recurring invoices, projects, time entries and items from Gravity Forms submissions.
- Assign records to a client: Project, time entry and expense feeds can be assigned to a client, keeping related work and costs together in FreshBooks.
- Multiple forms supported: Connect several Gravity Forms to FreshBooks, so different services or products can each have their own form and feed setup.
- OAuth 2.0 connection: The add-on authenticates with the current FreshBooks REST API through OAuth 2.0, linking your forms to your FreshBooks account.
