Overview
Forms tell you what people typed, but not always where they are. Typed addresses can contain mistakes, and some forms never ask for a location at all. This add-on captures the coordinates of the person submitting, so you have a record of where each response came from without relying on manual input.
It works inside the Everest Forms setup you already use, and it connects to Google Maps so you can see each captured location on a map right in the entry. The location fields can be adjusted to fit your form, and the data can drive conditional fields or actions. This suits businesses such as event management, customer support and delivery services, where knowing the user's location helps with decisions.
Features
- Automatic location capture: Detects and stores the user's geographic coordinates when the form is submitted, which removes the errors that come from typing a location by hand.
- Google Maps display: Shows captured locations on an interactive Google Map within the form entry, so you can review where each submission came from at a glance.
- Customizable location fields: Lets you adjust the geolocation fields in your forms to match what you want to collect and how you want it displayed.
- Location-based conditional logic: Uses geolocation data to trigger conditional fields or custom actions, so a form can respond differently depending on where the visitor is.
- Location data in entries: Keeps geographic information with the form entries, so you can find it again later whenever you review a submission.
- Works on desktop and mobile: Captures user location across devices, so visitors on phones and computers can both submit forms with their position recorded.
- Permission before capture: Includes privacy settings that ask users for permission before location data is captured, which supports respect for user privacy.
- Simple setup with Everest Forms: Fits into the Everest Forms interface and needs little technical knowledge to start collecting location data on your forms.
Best for
- Delivery and service businesses that need submitter locations
- Event organizers collecting responses from different places
- Everest Forms users who want maps in entries
